WE ARE INDIES
JUST LIKE YOU

We are small,
therefore we focus on projects we believe in, that we feel as ours and in which we can make a difference.
Whether you are a solo, a team or a publisher, we’ve been there.

We know what it’s like to work for something you are passionate about and make it happen. And that’s what we seek on every project we work on.

Making games is hard, it requires a lot of perspectives and different roles involved. That’s why we get everything that we learned from Moonlighter and apply it to our client’s games, enriching each other with every unique project.

The satisfaction of finishing a game is something unexplainable and something that stays with you for the rest of your life. It is something yours, you have seen it evolve from its first sketch and others can interact with your creation and make it their own in thousands of ways you can’t even imagine.

They can enjoy it, talk about it, reinterpret it, draw other conclusions and even recommend it to others. From there, your game comes to life and becomes a unique experience for each of the people who will play it.

That is what motivates us to create them. Because we feel every project ours.

WHERE WE COME FROM

2013: Brave Zebra is born

The Brave Zebra brand and concept was created in 2013 by Javier Gimenez and Ruben Pico, current owners of successful game studio: Digital Sun and one of the main leaders of the Spanish videogames sector.

2016: Moonligther is born

After getting some financial profits and as a fruit of the indie spirit that characterizes Brave Zebra since the beginning, the team started to create its own IP under a new brand: Digital Sun. On June 2, 2016, just 2 days after the start of the campaign, Moonlighter Kickstarter was fully funded with $134k and 5k+ backers.

2019: Brave meets Squad

After a short hiccup with less focus on outsourcing, Brave Zebra started to collaborate with Super Squad Interactive SL, a strong team of developers led by Axel Garcia that was providing solid results with a model and culture very similar to the ones that Brave Zebra had at their beginning.

2023: We're not finished yet

2015: Serving all around the world

Since the very beginning Brave Zebra culture has been based on honesty, transparency, building a strong team and getting really involved with every project. That’s how the company managed to lift off and gain its own space after providing services to companies from all around the world.

2018: Moonligther is released

Moonlighter was released, selling over a million copies and being a great success.

Given the success of Moonlighter, the team started to focus on work with bigger publishers, leaving the Brave Zebra business model as a secondary priority temporarily.

2021: Welcome to the team

After almost two years collaborating very closely, the transmedia group behind Digital Sun and Brave Zebra (WildFrame Media) acquired the full team behind Super Squad Interactive SL.

By this time Brave Zebra is already revamped as an outsourcing branch focused on executing the knowledge transfer from the Moonlighter experience (and upcoming projects from Digital Sun) by providing outsourcing services with the track record of having been successful on the indie market and a strong network of connections on the sector.
